Sifton's Berkshire Village named Best Rental Community in Ontario for Curb Appeal

Any real estate expert will tell you that curb appeal sells a property and Berkshire Village has it in spades. Not only do the residents who live at Berkshire Village in London appreciate the spacious well-maintained grounds, but now the Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO) has also recognized Berkshire Village’s overall visual and aesthetic excellence.

At its annual general meeting in Toronto on November 29, FRPO named Berkshire Village rental community best in the province when it presented Sifton Properties Limited with a Marketing, Achievement and Construction Award in the category of curb appeal.

“This award is a testament to the vision Mowbray Sifton had in the 1960s to create an attractive, inviting community of rental townhomes and apartments,” explains Barry Parker, Vice-President, Residential Properties. “Londoners have always known Berkshire Village is a special place; now it is being recognized as a gem across Ontario.”

Berkshire Village is situated on 30 acres of well-manicured grounds in southwest London. In the heart of the village is the Berkshire Club, a community centre containing a fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, community rooms, banquet hall as well as the management and maintenance offices of Sifton Properties. All Sifton residents enjoy a complimentary membership to the Berkshire Club.

“Berkshire Village is a planned community that was developed by Sifton Properties Limited from 1964 to 1970,” says Parker. “To ensure Berkshire Village continues to be a place of beauty in London, a staff of landscape professionals maintains the grounds using state-of-the-art equipment.
